create some playful competition.
Set specific goals to give yourself benchmarks as you get in shape. For
instance, decide to add five pounds more weight to your weight training each
week, or do two more leg presses each day. Measure your biceps, abs and
thighs each week, so you can see how your hard work is paying off.
Being able to see that progress is happening can keep you from giving up,
and subtly remind you of the need to stay positive. No one got ripped abs
overnight; chart your progress and give yourself mini-goals that you can
check off.
